I also followed the Settings > Apps > Startup, there are 7 programs there. Is that correct and I just have a slightly different version of windows then in that article? Services button and disabled everything else in that tab, and I did open the Startup folder and it was empty. I did go to the Services tab, clicked the Hide all Microsoft I do not have to choose to Run as Administrator, I don't even actually see the option. I typed msconfig and opened System Configuration. Step 4 went slightly differently then it says on the link. You want to modify the installation to include only the driver and nothing else since it's all unneeded bloatware.īut more importantly turn off all AMD Radeon in the four places where Startup freeloaders nest, covered in Step 4 of this Performance checklist. This may also be an AMD or Radeon Install Manager. If you go into Settings > Apps > Apps & Features and look for the software, check if there is a Modify or REpair button for it other than just uninstall.
All others are freeloaders that can cause issues and use resources affecting performance. That's driver bloatware that you can uninstall or at least turn off at Startup since nothing needs to start with Windows except Windows itself and maybe a sync or scanner on standby.
